Teaching Children The Value Of A Smile
Newspaper Review for Hello! Kia Ora! Welcome new friend!
This article asked some great questions:
“There is a section in the back about body language, do you feel this is important for young children to understand and if so why”
Yes, it’s very helpful for children. Emotions are expressed verbally and non-verbally. We all use body language to communicate, it is a form of language. Being aware of body language helps children understand what is going on around them with others, and also themselves. As children develop, so does their language to communicate. Body language can help them initiate asking a friend to join them for play.
