‘Kiwi Bees Have Tiny Knees’ Book Review by Poetry Box
Rachel has a gift with words. She can take a fact (these bees are really really small) and use great analogies (children-friendly) to illuminate the fact.

It’s about time there was a book about our native bees because there are 28 species buzzing around our plants and trees.
Before I wrote about native bees, I had to soak up their behaviours and breathe in their spaces. I sat among their calmness without any fear.
This hardback book is beautifully produced and absolutely chocka with ngaro huruhuru – native bee facts, info bubbles, photos and illustrations.
Already a Notable Book Award-winner for nonfiction, this book is sure to be a Kiwi classic says Lee Murray, author of Fox Spirit on a Distant Cloud.
